About Us
Our Mission
To provide and professionally
administer the most competitive soccer program for youth of all ages in the Tri-State area. Our first priority is to develop
and maintain a fun environment while still stressing sportsmanship, fairness, and player improvement. We
are committed to the improvement of all aspects of each player's game through skill development, coaches' training,
and parent education programs.
Our History
The Southwest Indiana Soccer Association (SWISA) is one
of the oldest and largest travel soccer clubs in the tri-state area. The club was founded in 1984 and continues to grow
and prosper. In the 2006/07 season, we will field 22 boys and girls teams in age brackets U9 through U19. In addition,
our developmental program provides training for the young player not yet ready or old enough for a travel team. In total,
we will train over 300 players this season. While many of our players are from the Newburgh/Evansville area, our close-knit
club philosophy attracts players from around the tri-state, including Ferdinand, Mount Vernon, New Albany, Oakland City, Tell
City, Vincennes, and Washington, Indiana, as well as Henderson and Owensboro, Kentucky and Mt. Carmel, Illinois.
